“Like Father like Son”, “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, and “he’s a chip off the old block”. All sayings that could apply to the relationship between Gohan and Goku. Goku shocked the world by turning Super Saiyan on planet Namek while fighting Frieza, and fans hoped that his son Gohan wouldn’t be far behind him (After the Prince of Saiyan’s Vegeta became a Super Saiyan, of course!) but when does Gohan go Super Saiyan?
Gohan first goes Super Saiyan in the hyperbolic time chamber in the Cell Saga during Age Age 767. Gohan then goes Super Saiyan 2 during his fight with Cell.Read more Blogs about Gohan

Gohan Super Saiyan 1
There’s nothing like the threat of your planet being destroyed and everyone you know dying to make you train really really hard. This is what Goku and Gohan did when Cell announced the Cell Games. They went to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, which is a year for those inside but only a day passes on Earth, and did nothing but train for a full year. Goku pushed Gohan to an almost breaking point to try and get him to Super Saiyan. The first time it happened, Gohan was only a Super Saiyan for a brief amount of time before he collapsed. After that, Gohan worked on his transformation and managed to achieve a stable, energy-efficient version of Super Saiyan.
Gohan Super Saiyan 2
Gohan was actually the first Saiyan we saw turn Super Saiyan 2. It took Cell beating the crap out of all his friends, and a motivational tear-jerking speech from Android 16 before Gohan finally snapped and turned Super Saiyan 2. When Gohan was Super Saiyan 2, he was by far the strongest character we were aware of and made Cell plaything. Gohan’s character design was super badass with cool lightning surrounding his glowing Super Saiyan body. It was when Gohan was in Super Saiyan 2 that he pulled off the legendary Father-Son Kamehameha.
Gohan Super Saiyan 3
Sadly, Gohan has never gone Super Saiyan 3. He’d look so cool with those long glowing locks. However, at the same time, Gohan doesn’t need to go Super Saiyan because he has his ultimate form. Ultimate Gohan is way stronger and more energy-efficient than Super Saiyan 3. Even Vegeta gave that transformation a miss, and Goku and Gotenks were the only ones stupid enough to use that transformation.
Gohan Super Saiyan 4
Come on; Super Saiyan 4 isn’t even canon! And Gohan was long retired in Dragon Ball GT, so he would probably never achieve Super Saiyan 4. Even if Super Saiyan were canonicalised, Gohan probably wouldn’t want it because he has the ultimate form, which is almost on par with Super Saiyan Blue.
Gohan Super Saiyan 5
I’m just kidding. Super Saiyan 5 isn’t real! So, unfortunately, Gohan can’t go Super Saiyan 5 because it doesn’t exist in the normal Dragon Ball Universe. But if you want nightmares, then look at this scary image of Goku as a Super Saiyan 5.
Gohan Super Saiyan 6
Okay, I’ll stop.
