Who is King Piccolo?

No, we’re not talking about Piccolo Jr, the character we know and love from Dragon Ball Z. We are talking about his father. Probably the evilest character in the whole of Dragon Ball. King Piccolo, also known as the Demon King Piccolo, which probably tells you all you need to know about him, had one goal in mind, and that was world domination.

At the start of Dragon Ball, King Piccolo was sealed away, thanks to Master Roshi’s master, Master Mutaito. But he is freed by Emperor Pilaf years later and resumes his plan to destroy Earth by first trying to kill everyone who could use the evil containment wave that sealed him initially. Thankfully Master Roshi and his students Goku, Krillin and Yamcha are on hand to deal with King Piccolo this time round.

The reason King Piccolo is so evil is that he used to be fused with Earth’s Guardian Kami as a single Namekian lifeform. But in order to become guardian, the Namekian had to rip out his bad side, which produced the devilishly evil King Piccolo.
