How Fast is Goku?

Goku is not just one of the strongest characters in the DB Universe; he is also one of the fastest! From dancing across battlefields to avoid laser beams to travelling halfway across the universe in a blink of an eye, Goku has got some serious speed…way over 9000 MPHs… but just how fast is Goku?

Goku fights at several times faster than Light Speed, and when moving using instant transmission, he is several million times faster than the Speed of light.

Is Goku faster than light?

Goku has proven that he is several times faster than the speed of light for quite some time now, and at least since Dragon Ball Z. We see him dodge Ki attacks that are similar to laser beams, and laser beams move at the speed of light.

For example, Frieza tried to hit Goku with hundreds of death beams on Namek, but Goku was able to deflect all of them, meaning he must be a lot faster than the speed of light to not get hit by any of the laser beams.

So if lightspeed is 186,000 miles/sec, then we can safely assume that Goku can travel at least 1,000,000 miles/sec to be able to dodge multiple light beams.

How fast is Instant Transmission?

It’s impossible to know just how fast Instant Transmission is because it has a seemingly unlimited range and speed. The Milky way is 105,700 lightyears wide, and it’s safe to say Goku could hop from one end to the other with ease.

Therefore if he can travel that many lightyears in a second, then he can travel at an unfathomable amount of speed. For that journey from one end of the galaxy to another, he’d be travelling around 10000000000000000000000000000 miles/sec.

How fast is Goku MUI?

If Goku has been several times faster than the speed of light in Super Saiyan form, and Mastered Ultra Instinct was a significant boost to his speed, then it’s anyone’s guess as to how fast Goku MUI is.

I would guess he goes from 4 or 5 times the speed of light to maybe 20 or 30 times the speed of light. He is going fast in small bursts, but still, nothing compared to his Instant Transmission speed. But this is all guesswork, as we have no real world indications how fast everyone is moving in the Tournament of Power.

Is Goku faster than Flash?

So we’ve established that Goku can move faster than the speed of light. The question is, can the Flash? In the comics, Barry Allen runs so fast that he manages to go back in time, and this is only theoretically possible if travelling faster than the speed of light.

So Flash, too, can go faster than the speed of light. So Flash may be able to match Goku’s speed when Goku is in a normal state, but it seems unlikely that Flash would be able to travel many millions of times faster than Goku when he uses Instant Transmission.

How fast is Goku compared to Naruto?

Naruto is one fast guy, but he’s never approached anything close to the speed of light. So this is a resounding victory to Goku, who would be around to run rings around Naruto.

Is Goku faster than Sonic?

The first question is, is Sonic faster than the speed of light? The answer to this is yes. Chaos Sonic was able to reverse time, so must have been travelling faster than the speed of light.

But this was only for less than a minute, while Goku can move at many times the speed of light with ease. So we’ve got to say Goku is faster, both in normal mode and when travelling with Instant Transmission.
